Verify before you call

The paperwork your agency needs,
already on the table.

Everything a purchasing agent, county judge, or engineer screens for before adding a contractor to a vendor or bid list is public record, not a sales pitch. License number and classifications, USDOT carrier status, BBB history, insurance certificates on request, bonding available on request. The verification links, before you ask: ACLB contractor search, FMCSA SAFER snapshot, and our BBB profile.

Larry Cox Construction, Inc. (dba Cox Earthworks) holds AR Contractors Licensing Board License #3287-C (Commercial), active, expiring 04/2027, with classifications in Highway, Railroad & Airport Construction and Underground Piping, Cable, Trenching & Boring — and the classifications are worked, not just held on paper: road and street work and airport sitework under the first, water and sanitary sewer mains and laterals and storm drainage under the second. Company trucks and drivers operate under USDOT #581938 as an active intrastate carrier with a clean safety record. The BBB file has been open since 2006 with zero complaints. The company incorporated in 2009 on top of a family dirt-work operation running since 1972 — three generations, Larry, Connie, Matthew and Lance Cox.

The anchor project

We ran GPS grading for
the City of Heber Springs.

In 2007, Cox ran one of the first Topcon 3D GPS machine-control systems in Arkansas on the City of Heber Springs softball complex — a job covered by Construction Equipment magazine (2010) and For Construction Pros, both reporting grading accuracy to a half inch. Today's Komatsu intelligent machine-control dozers hold finish grade to a tenth of a foot. It's a press-documented track record on public ground that an engineer or facilities director can check independently before a bid ever opens.

Rock doesn't stall a utility trench

Rock in the trench
doesn't stop the job.

A 10,000-lb hydraulic hammer on an 80,000-lb excavator breaks rock in place beside existing roads, structures and buried infrastructure — no blasting subcontractor, no blast permits, no evacuating a school or a courthouse block. Rock encountered mid-trench gets handled the same day, same crew.

Published rates

Rates public before
you request a quote.

We publish an hourly equipment rate sheet at dozer work & equipment rates — T&M work and change-order pricing an agency can verify before ever asking for a number. Bids are built to your plans and specifications; bonding is available on request.

Public-sector and commercial work on our list: Cabot Emergency Hospital · Russellville EMS · PrimeCare — Sherwood · Stone Bank (White Hall & Harrison) · City of Heber Springs softball complex. Municipal ground, medical ground, bank ground — statewide from Heber Springs. Scope details and references furnished on request.
